The most effective way to use solar energy maximum is to convert it into thermal newlineenergy and using it for heating process. Solar collectors are one of basic component newlineused to convert solar energy to thermal energy. For this, various types of solar newlinecollectors are used; basically all solar collectors absorbs solar radiations or solar newlineenergy and convert it into thermal energy by the use of absorber plate and heat is newlinetransferred to solar plate through other fluid either liquid or air. Solar air heater has newlinecongenital lowliness therefore it is cheap and mostly used for collection system or newlinedevice. Simple type of solar air heater has low thermal capacity because it requires newlinelarge space or volume for handling of air or working fluid and has low thermal newlineperformance of conventional solar air heater due to less absorption of solar radiations newlineand transfer of heat to working fluid (air). Enhancement of thermal performance of newlinesolar air heater using artificial roughened absorber plate had resulted in improvement newlineof thermal performance of solar air heater. By providing artificial roughness, heat newlinetransfer between absorber plate and working fluid (air) is improved. The reviews newlinehighlight work and research on solar air heater with artificial roughness for newlineenhancement of thermal performance. In the present study, we have used three side newlinediscrete W-shape rib geometry to enhance thermal performance of solar air heater. newlineThe simulation analysis is done on Ansys software using different shape, angle of newlineinclination, rib height, pitch, relative roughness height, relative roughness pitch and newlineReynold s number with constant hydraulic diameter. Based on CFD analysis when the rib was inclined at 60 and#778; it provided better heat transfer rate. The fabrication of newlineabsorber plate and experimental set-up was a difficult task but was productive. newlineDiscrete W-shape rib geometry was fixed on aluminum absorber plate. newlineThe experimental data was collected and compared with simulation software. The newlineexperiments were conducted for around one ye
