Abstract

An infant born with biological drives grows into a social being through the learned newlinenorms and values of society in which s/he is born. Every culture prescribes certain norms newlineand values to the individual of society. Thus culture is the accepted way of behaving for newlinemembers of a particular society. (Klukhohn, 1951)In his book states that culture is designed newlineway of life . To a large degree culture determines how members of society thinks and feel. It newlinedirects their actions and defines their outlook in life. The process by which the culture is newlineinternalized is called socialization. Socialization is a process that begins with birth and newlinecontinues throughout the circle of life, a process that makes an individual acceptable in newlinesociety.As a process, it works as a path locator for the people to acquire the rules of newlinebehavior, and the system of belief and attitude of the society. The process of socialization is newlinecategorized basically as primary socialization and secondary socialization. Primary newlinesocialization is the focus of study which takes place within the family itself, it relates to the newlinetransmission of culture, norms, and values from one generation to the other. newline
