Abstract
newline The research problem for this thesis is a study of Personality Traits amongst graduating students
newlinefor broad career options.
newlineThe Traits Theory expounded by Gordon Allport has formed the bedrock of innumerable
newlinepersonality traits related researches. Traits theorists like Raymond Cattel, Lewis Goldberg,
newlineWarren Norman, Costa, McCrae and many others have built on the Traits Theory to further
newlineexpand the study of personality traits.
newlineAn easy reminder of these five personality traits is the abbreviation OCEAN; O represents
newlineOpenness to Experience; C represents Conscientiousness; E represents Extraversion; A
newlinerepresents Agreeableness and; N represents Neuroticism.
newlineThe methodology used for research followed International Personality Inventory Pool
newlinemethodology popularized by Lewis Goldberg and was implemented using the quotthe 50-item IPIP

newlineentrepreneurs are associated with much levels of higher openness to experience; making them
newlinemore creative, more innovative, and more likely to embrace new ideas; and with
newlineconscientiousness, as entrepreneurs have a higher achievement orientation.
newlineIt was also found that overall attributes related to conscientiousness, agreeableness, and
newlineemotional stability were
