A study of scientific attitude with respect to introversion and extroversion as personality trait of college students

Abstract

The present study is about scientific attitude and personality traits i.e. introversion and extroversion personality of college students. For this study the researcher frames the following objectives: 1) To study the scientific attitude differential between male and female college students. 2) To examine the scientific attitude differential among college students with respect to their extrovert traits of personality. 3) To examine the scientific attitude differential among college students with respect to their introvert traits of personality. 4) To examine the scientific attitude correlation between college students in relation to their extrovert traits of personality. 5) To examine the scientific attitude correlation between college students in relation to their introvert traits of personality. 6) To examine correlation between scientific attitude and personality among college students. newlineFor these objectives following tools were used: 1. Introversion Extroversion inventory constructed and standardized by P.F. Aziz and Rekha Gupta. 2.quotScientific Attitude Scalequot, prepared by Shailaja Bhagwat. For the present study, college going students of Baghpat district U.P. State were selected as sample and these students were selected using random sampling technique. Totally ten colleges were selected at randomly for the study. Out of which 1032 students were taken as sample but finally for the purpose of study only those students were selected who were introvert and extrovert type of personality arises however ambivert type of personality students were left so only 400 student s data was finally selected. For the analysis of data Descriptive and Inferential Statistics (Mean, SD, Correlation, t-test,) will be used in the present study.
