| dc.description.abstract | Nowadays, owing to the various benefits offered by polymer composites as newlinecompared to the traditional materials, they found in a vast array of industrial products newlineranging from commonplace items to highly advanced machinery. A wide variety of synthetic newlineand natural fibres have been used for the production of polymer composites. But, it was newlinefound that natural fibre reinforced polymer composites have played a considerable role in newlinevarious promising fields. This was due to the numerous advantages of natural fibres used. newlineIndicatively, such advantages include low density, low cost, renewable, biodegradable, newlineenvironmentally benign and reduced risk of adverse human health effects. On the contrary, newlinethe synthetic fibres pose serious risks to human health and the environment, are extremely newlineexpensive, and need cutting-edge manufacturing techniques. However, chemical treatments, newlinefillers, and hybridization with synthetic fibres found to strengthen natural fibre composites. newlineIn reference to the usage of fillers, researchers have incorporated different types newlineof fillers in the fabrication of polymer composites. But, attention has not been paid on newlinecellulosic micro fillers extracted from the banana plant leaf waste and its incorporation in newlinethe epoxy based polymer hybrid fibre composites newline | |
