Development and investigation of herbal formulation targeting nf kb for the treatment of diabetic complications using experimental animal model

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder that, if left unmanaged, often leads to severe complications such as diabetic retinopathy, cardiomyopathy, and nephropathy. These conditions are primarily driven by sustained inflammation, oxidative stress, and dysregulated signalling pathways. Despite advancements in diabetic care, effective therapeutic strategies that can holistically target these secondary complications remain limited. In this context, the present study investigates the protective potential of a polyherbal combination comprising Withania somnifera, Moringa oleifera, Momordica charantia and Terminalia arjuna plants known in traditional medicine for their anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. newline
