Abstract
People behave irrationally in financial decision making as observed by several
newlineresearchers. Relaxing the neoclassical assumption of rationality, researchers have
newlinemoved from the normative model to a descriptive model, paving way to the field of
newlinebehavioural finance. Behavioural finance is the academic wedlock of traditional
newlinefinance and psychology that helps us understand the financial decision-making
newlineprocess under realistic conditions. The influence of behavioural factors in
newlinedecision-making is unavoidable; however, scientific measurements can help us
newlineunderstand its impact.
