A mechanistic insight into distinct Pathways of glut 4 translocation by 3 stigmast 5 en 3 ol and 14 deoxy 11 12 didehydroandro grapholide by Targeting the important mediators Of insulin resistance in vitro

Abstract

The number of people diagnosed with type II diabetes newlineNIDDM is increasing at an alarming rate and has become a major health newlineconcern Diabetes is a complex multi factorial disorder characterized by high newlineblood glucose levels due to an imbalance between insulin secretion and newlineinsulin sensitivity Type II diabetes is more predominant than type I form of newlinediabetes which occurs due to the complete destruction of insulin secreting newlinepancreatic islets eventually leading to complete loss of insulin secretion newlineInsulin resistance the characteristic condition that prevails in type II diabetes newlineis due to the inability of the insulin to elicit cellular response due to its newlineminimal presence or due to the altered cellular components of the insulin newlinesignaling cascade Type I diabetics rely on insulin for survival whereas for newlinepeople with type II diabetes oral hypoglycemic drugs are preferred The newlinemajor drawbacks with the available hypoglycemic drugs include toxicity and newlineside effects which are not wholly addressed newline newline
