The human body is a highly evolved multicellular system with various organs performing specific functions. The coordinated functions of these organs maintain the homeostasis of the body. The coordinated functions are controlled by various combinatorial molecular machineries including proteins, non-coding RNA and etc., Mutations in the DNA leads to the absence of specific protein synthesis or synthesis of protein with the abnormal structure which fail to perform the designated function leading to abnormal functioning/ dysfunction of the organ which results in the altered homeostasis. Though various animal models have been used in understanding the pathophysiological conditions as well as the basic biological processes of human, zebrafish remains as a most suitable model due to its high conservation with human genome as well as its structural and anatomical similarities with human organs. Zebrafish has the ability to reproduce large number of eggs which are transparent that undergo external fertilization and development newline
