Synthesis and characterization of rare earth metal doped Mn Bi ferrites for humidity sensing applications

Abstract

This thesis deals with the structural, microstructural, magnetic, and humidity sensing properties of rare earth metal(Ce3+ and Ho3+) doped Mn-Bi ferrite. Samples were prepared by solution combustion method using glucose and urea as fuel. As synthesised samples were characterised by X-ray diffraction (XRD), and Scanning electron newlinemicroscopy(SEM) to understand the structure and microstructure of the samples. Further newlineelectrical, magnetic and humidity sensing properties have been studied using impedance newlineanalyser, superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) and humidity sensor experiments.
