Abstract
The interdependence of tourism and food cannot be ignored when culinary tourism is
newlinegrowing as an important unit of the fast-developing tourism network. The term
newlineculinary is emerged out of Greek dialect, it alludes to regional cooking, authentic
newlinedishes from a particular region, techniques used to prepare food, and giving credit to
newlinethe kitchen for food preparation (Kivela and Crotts, 2006). The word culinary tourism
newlinewas first expressed by Dr. Lucy Long (2004) and its various dimensions, effects,
newlineimportance and components are briefly discussed. Food can be offered to show the
newlinelocal stories and assemble its objective character to pull the tourists culinary tourism
newlineenables an individual to get a break from the daily routine and step into the world of
newlineauthentic flavors and try new delicacies. Tourists are restricted not only to the
newlineneighboring countries to try their local food but also crossing the boarders. (Stone, et
newlineal., 2018). Whenever a tourist comes out of the usual place of stay to experience any
newlineform of tourism, culinary tourism will transpire automatically. Some of the travelers
newlinewant to consume similar category of food they usually consume at home, on the other
newlinehand some wants to try local, traditional, exclusive food of that particular region.
newlineSeveral studies have been made to prove the interdependence of tourism and culinary
newline(Hashimoto and Telfer, 2006). Culinary assets of a destination are important
newlinecontributing factor for destination image, destination culture and traditions linked to
newlineit. More importantly several destinations have understood the importance of food to
newlinestrengthen their tourism which opens up the new horizons for economic development.
newlineWhereas, the previous study shows that there is no research done on the culinary
newlineexperiences and urban destination image w.r.t. Delhi, India in terms of international
newlinetourists perspectives. It is important to identify the experience of the culinary tourist
newlineand his intention to revisit again, in order to upgrade the destination food image. Delhi
newlinealready has a rich
