Improvment in performance of AD HOC Networks in specific to zone routing protocol through congestion reduction in border nodes of the zones

Abstract

With increased usage in mobile wireless data transmission, the accompanying newlinerequirement in Quality of Service (QoS) has been a concentrated domain to attain as newlinemuch highly efficient and consistent communication model. To ensure optimal newlineperformance and to meet efficient QoS centric communication, an application requires newlinea robust routing protocol. Amongst routing approaches, there are three types of newlineprotocols: reactive routing protocol, proactive protocol, and hybrid routing protocol. newlineThe reactive routing protocol uses information on local distance feature to perform newlinerouting decision and is limited to perform routing with mobile nodes in the network. newlineThe proactive routing functions by exhibiting dynamic node table management in newlinewhich the table is updated regularly. On the contrary, the Zone Routing Protocol (ZRP), newlinea hybrid routing protocol augments both reactive and proactive routing strategies. newline
