Development of an artificial intelligence based detection method against distributed denial of service attack in software defined networks

Abstract

The rapid expansion of network usage mandates the adaptation and restructuring the newlinenetwork policies. The inflexible nature of traditional networks poses a challenge for newlinenetwork service providers. This concern has propelled the emergence and widespread newlineadoption of Software Defined Networking. In the traditional networking paradigm, newlinethe devices necessary for configuration are vendor-specific, resulting in a limiting newlineand cumbersome environment. SDN has successfully tackled this reliance by newlineimplementing centralized control and programmable features. Despite these newlineprogressions, the SDN architecture grapples with diverse security concerns. Within newlinethese security threats, distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks play a pivotal role newlinein jeopardizing organizational integrity. Nevertheless, SDN continues to gain newlinepopularity, especially with the exponential increase in web users. newline
