dc.description.abstractAn autolysis of pancreas is observed in a cute pancreatitis (AP). The newlineenzymatic cascade is initiated by the conversion of trypsinogen to trypsin; and this is newlineresponsible for inflammatory changes in the pancreas and its surroundings (1). newlineIt is a rare disease in children though observed in every part of the world (2), newlineand also an emerging problem in pediatrics with most cases resolving spontaneously newline(1). It is increasingly being recognized as a clinical entity in childhood, possibly newlinebecause of increased awareness among physicians. newline In the year 1935, Dobbs first newlinedrew attention to the occurrence of acute pancreatitis in children (4). Pediatric onset newlineof acute pancreatitis is labeled when the first episode of acute pancreatitis occurs newlinebefore and#1048663;and#1048651;and#1048648;and#1048579;and#1048659;and#1048644;and#1048663;and#1048652;and#1048648;and#1048657;and#1048663;and#1048758;and#1048662;and#1048579;and#1048596;and#1048604;th birthday (5, 6). The disorder spans across pediatric age range, newlinewith either focal or diffuse process, and may occur as a single episode, recur or newlinebecome chronic (7,8).
