Abstract

newline Library is a social organization. It serves the community without any consideration of newlinecast, creed and color. Its object is to educate the users for the maximum use of the library so that newlineit may fulfill the five laws of Dr. Ranganathan i.e. Books for all , every books and its reader , newlineand every reader and its books . It is only possible when the society keep in touch with the newlinelibrary. A university library is the backbone of the higher education. It serves to the university newlinecommunity which becomes literate by seeking more literacy. It needs user awareness service. newlineUser awareness includes all types of activities designed to teach users about library newlinefacilities and instruction to use more and more reference sources of information i.e. library newlinecatalogue, bibliographies, indexes and modern techniques like e-mail, fax, websites, internet to newlineaccess their information and restore them in CD-ROM, microforms and databases. University newlinelibraries organize user awareness programs.
