Supply Chain Management (SCM) the mostly used words in this globalization era, is used to integrate suppliers (vendors), manufacturers (producers), warehouses (stock keeping units) and customers, so that products produced, distributed and dispatched according to the specified quantities, qualities, place, and time to the customers. SCM minimizes the total system cost while satisfying the customers. Its activities include acquiring and transforming raw materials into a finished product ultimately delivered to the final customer. SCM is an important strategy that depends on other organizations in meeting the severe competition among the industries due to globalization and liberalization. Foundries in India, According to the and#8213;Automotive Mission Plan2006-2016and#8214;of Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, COL and SCM and, stressed the role and importance of SCM in Automobile related Foundry Industries, which become an important competitive factor for future growth of Automobile and Foundry industries. Extensive research has been done mostly on SCM-coordination, cooperation, collaboration, contracting, inventory, joint economic order lot sizing, supplier selection problems, policies and strategies, vendor managed inventory, project design, product development, supply chain risk, Simulation and system dynamic, on the food and electronic industry. newline
