Photovoltaic supported z source inverter based statcom for voltage and frequency regulation of isolated seig system

Abstract

The world has to face endangering fear that the conventional energy newlinesource will be almost exhausted in the next few decades. To overcome the newlineshortage of conventional source, an alterable electrical energy procuring newlinesystem is to be modernized with the help of renewable energy sources such as newlinewind, hydro, tidal and solar. In this blue planet wind energy is excessively newlineavailable in the countries like India, Canada, Spain, Brazil and so on. Unlike newlineother countries, India is the second in population where population is about newline1.3 Billion within a confined area compared to the nation China. To fulfill the newlineneed of electrical energy consumer through non-conventional energy system newlinehas become very mandatory. In the conventional electrical power generating newlinesystem, the role of the synchronous generator is prevalent whereas induction newlinegenerator is mostly preferable in the standalone electric energy producing newlinesystem with the help of the wind energy. The Self Excited Induction generator newline(SEIG) has various added advantages such as brushless service, less newlinemaintenance, low cost and free from a separate excitation source over the newlinesynchronous generator. Though the SEIG has several advantages, it also has newlinesome demerits like improper regulation of frequency and voltage. newlineThese disturbances caused in the SEIG due to changes in the load and speed newlineof the wind turbine. These issues are to be taken care in order to provide a newlinedistortion free clean supply of power to the consumer newline newline
