Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers in the world. newlineAccording to the survey conducted by the World Health Organization newline(WHO), breast cancer accounts for 22.9% of all cancers (excluding newlinenon-melanoma skin cancers) in women. Imaging methods are used to newlinediagnose breast cancer in a variety of ways. At least once within the specified newlinetime period, breast cancer can be detected early if you take good care of newlineyourself and go through the screening procedure. The techniques used for the newlinedetection of breast tumor includes X-ray Mammography, Ultra-Sound, and newlineMRI. These techniques have their disadvantages. So, the research community newlineis actively looking for a simple and cost-effective solution. Microwave newlineimaging has gained a lot of attention in recent years. Confocal microwave newlineimaging is one of the best techniques available to detect tumors, but the newlinealgorithms used for this approach are complex and time-consuming. So, there newlineis a necessity for an approach that is simple, less complex and fast. In this newlinethesis, the early-stage detection of breast tumors using backscattered signal newlineanalysis is deeply illustrated. newlineIn the CST studio software, a homogeneous and a heterogeneous newlinebreast phantom model are designed to detect the presence of tumor. The newlinesuperficial layer is composed of the skin, followed by adipose tissues and newlinefibro glandular tissue. Secondly, the proposed CSR microstrip antenna is newlinedesigned with a dimension of 40 × 43 × 1.6 mm3. The antenna resonates at 3 newlineGHz and 5 GHz with the minimum return loss of -41.08 dB and -43.29 dB. newlineThe proposed antenna is realized with a moderate gain of 2.071 dBi at 3 GHz newlineand 3.667 dBi at 5 GHz. Similarly, the directivity is 2.502 dBi at 3 GHz and newline4.144 dBi at 5 GHz. newline
