dc.description.abstractIdentifying the protein contents in a biological sample is an important task in the comprehensive understanding of the biological process newlineand disease diagnostics. Protein mass spectrometry is a high throughput technology used to analyze the protein content of the cell. The newlinegeneration of tandem mass spectra through peptide fragmentation is newlinethe primary element in the mainstream protocol. The efficient combination of data acquisition protocols and analytical methods accurately newlineinterprets the resulting tandem mass spectra. Characterization and interpretation of the tandem mass spectra is a critical computational task newlinein mass spectrometry-based proteomics. newlineThe statistical analysis of a large set of spectra in the spectrum newlinelibrary is the initial step in this dissertation. The main aim is to extract newlinethe features of the fragmentation pattern of Collision-Induced Dissociation (CID) spectra from the high-quality reference spectra. The study newlineanalyzes the relative frequency of occurrence of fragment ions of the newlinepeptide in tandem mass spectra. newline
