A Study To Assess The Risk Factors And Symptoms Of Dialysis Disequilibrium Syndrome Among Patient Undergoing Hemodialysis At Saveetha Medicalcollegeand Hospital Thandalam

Abstract

ABSTRACT newlineINTRODUCTION newlineThe dialysis disequilibrium syndrome is defined as a clinical syndrome newlineof neurologic deterioration that is seen in patients who undergo hemodialysis . newlineIt is more likely to occur in patients during or immediately after their first newlinetreatment, but can occur in any patient who receives hemodialysis. The newlinesymptoms involve the neurologic system and are similar to symptoms that newlineoccur with increased intracranial pressure or acute Hyponatremia, such as newlinerestlessness, headache, mental confusion and coma. Treatment of this newlinesyndrome once it has developed is rarely successful. Thus, measures to avoid newlineits development are crucial. In this review, we will examine the early risk newlineidentification of this syndrome. newlineSTATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM newline A study to assess the risk factors and symptoms of DDS (Dialysis newlinedisequilibrium syndrome) among patient undergoing hemodialysis at SMCH newlineThandalam . newlineOBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY newlineThe objectives of the study are: newlineand#61656; To assess the risk of developing dialysis disequilibrium syndrome newlineamong patient undergoing dialysis. newlineand#61656; To correlate the risk factor with the symptoms of dialysis newlinedisequilibrium syndrome. newlineand#61656; To associate the risk factor of dialysis disequilibrium syndrome newlinewith the selected demographic variables. newline
