To Design a Woodless Paper Battery

Abstract

Paper Baery Technology is the key enabling tool in portable electronics applicaons. As we know every electronic device needs power to operate, it s a need of me that a lightweight product with high capacity, as well as an ecofriendly nature, should be developed to provide power to devices. Considering these points, paper baeries were developed using an innovave idea of making seaweed paper to replace oand#64259;ce paper. Seaweed is a natural polysaccharide material, drawn from green seaweed algae available in the sea. Any battery requires anode, cathode, separator, and electrolyte as basic newlinecomponents for its fabrication. For the proposed paper battery these components newlineare prepared in the laboratory for the complete fabrication process of the proposed battery. The final product is a rechargeable device to store energy that can be used as a battery. This battery was created by combining mainly two things: Nano-composite cellulose paper, and Lithium salts. Cellulose paper was prepared in the lab by applying functionalized carbon nanotubes on seaweedbased paper. This cellulose paper acts as a substrate for anode and cathode newlineformation. Gel Electrolyte synthesis is done in the laboratory, which works as a newlineseparator as well as an electrolyte in battery formation. The FTIR technique is newlineused for the identification and characterization of chemical structures for newlineFunctionalized carbon nanotubes that are prepared in the laboratory, for cellulose paper, and also for Gel polymer electrolytes. Obtained FTIR reports were comparable with standard products available in the market. newlineAs per the FTIR report Peaks are found at 1107, 1648, and 3592 wavelengths for sample newlinefunctionalized CNT. These values are comparable to 1100,1630, and 3430 wavelengths for standard functionalized CNT. Peaks were found at 3317,2289, 1741,1651 approximately for both fabricated and standard cellulose. spectra show an intense band between 3100 and 3750 for both fabricated and standard GPE.
