| dc.description.abstract | The area of computer science, there are a number of researchers worked on those topics which are related with language and character recognition. OCR (Optical Character Recognition) has become among the researchers. However in the some cases, one can vividly seen there is still a gap in the digitalization and documentation.OCR techniques is trying to fill this gap. This thesis is about machine written and hand written characters recognition. newlineA novel technique is proposed for recognition Gurmukhi (Punjabi) language characters using Labeling technique including the schemes of feature extraction of the characters and implemented. Gurumukhi s the script used for writing Punjabi language which is widely spoken in certain regions of north India. The main objective of this work is to explain the difference between Gurmukhi handwritten character and Gurmukhi machine written character and present the characters with parameters like as PSNR, SSIM,IMVand MSE.This thesis is divided into seven chapters which describes whole research work.Matlab is used to perform the operation. newline newline | |
