Feasibility and Stability Analysis of Hybrid Power System under Variable Loading Conditions

Abstract

In the universe electricity can be produced by utilizing renewable energy sources. The newlinerenewable energy sources which are used basically for the production of electricity are solar newlineand wind. These sources produce electricity without any kind of harmful impact on the newlineatmosphere. As conventional sources depleting day by day and the production of electricity newlinethrough the use of such sources is very costly and creates harmful effect on the atmosphere. newlineTraditional power sources occasionally fail to meet customer demand due to environmental newlinefactors such as thunderstorms or unexpected faults within the power system. Delivering newlinepower supply to hilly areas using conventional sources is very challenging. In these newlinesituations, renewable energy sources are highly beneficial for providing power to such newlineregions. The stochastic nature of renewable energy sources like solar and wind with the newlinedependency on the environment conditions may create some kind of reliability issues like sun newlineand wind not available all the times for the generation of electricity. By adopting stand alone newlineoption of solar energy or wind energy system, it sometimes fails to deliver reliable power newlinesupply. So in order to deliver reliable power supply to the consumer the hybrid power supply newlineis the best option. The need for reliable power and maximum utilization of renewable newlineresources at the location of interest has led to the development of reliable hybrid systems in newlinethe recent years. The hybrid energy systems are those systems in which continuously power newlinesupply is maintained by integrating more than two energy sources together. By making newlinehybrid power system of solar and wind the demand of consumer can be fulfilled to the great newlineextent. In this research work a hybrid energy system of solar, wind and diesel are designed on newlinethe MATLAB/Simulink software. A diesel generator is designed and connected with the newlinehybrid system of solar and wind for giving backup to the load. Various parameters like newlinestability and feasibility of hybrid system has been taken in to account. For
