Trade in Services An Analysis of Mode Wise Determinants

Abstract

International trade and investment in services have become central to global economic growth, contributing over half of world employment and more than 60% of global GDP. Despite this surge, research on factors influencing services trade especially regulatory barriers remains limited. Unlike goods, many restrictions in services arise from behind-the-border regulations that differ across countries and sectors, increasing trade costs and limiting market access.
