Abstract
The subject of this dissertation is to avoid energy hole problem in
newlinewireless sensor networks with the objective of enhancing the lifetime of the
newlinenetwork In wireless sensor networks large numbers of low powered sensors
newlineare deployed for short distance communication in single hop fashion that
newlineleads to huge communication cost To avoid the communication cost in term
newlineof power a multihop communication is adopted which consumes less power
newlinecompared to single hop communication The sensor nodes behave as a source
newlineas well as data router for mobilizing the load When the load flows from
newlinemany to one sensor the nodes around the sink are heavily loaded and hence
newlineloses their energy faster that causes energy hole problem around the sink
newlineAt the first stage a novel sector based clustering approach with a
newlinecustomized load distribution ratio is proposed to avoid energy hole problem
