Abstract
In Mobile Ad hoc NETworks MANETs the performance of ad hoc routing protocols will significantly degrade when there are faulty nodes in the network Most of the existing fault tolerant routing protocols do not consider the energy balance in data transmission to maximize the lifetime of networks The faults are proactively detected and fault tolerant routing provided but didn t consider the losses due to congestion Packet loss recovery incurs additional consumption of energy and delay Due to the network topology changes and the limited wireless link capacity congestion is possible in MANETs The nodes having high load will consume their energy resources rapidly and then increase the probability of disconnecting or partitioning the network Moreover when one of the heavily loaded nodes is congested it will cause packet loss and buffer overflow resulting in longer end to end delay degradation in throughput and loss of transport connections Load balancing techniques are applied in order to solve congestion and overloading But in existing load balancing techniques the probability of successes of data transmission get decreased as the number of paths increased
