Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) are wirelessly linked, newlineself-configuring systems of mobile nodes in which each node serves as both a newlinehost and a router. The need for flawless communication between these systems newlineis growing in importance as they become more and more prevalent in all sectors newlineof society. Applications enabled by MANETs demand Quality of Service (QoS) newlineneeds like throughput, delay, etc., and MANETs should have effective routing newlinealgorithms to satisfy these QoS factors. The majority of Routing Protocol (RP) newlinesystems, such as Ad hoc On-Demand Distance Vector Routing (AODV), newlineprovides just one path for packet transmission. When this selected path gets newlinehampered the QoS measurements tend to slide downwards. So, utilizing one newlineprimary path for communication may not be a wise idea for maintaining ideal newlineQoS for a stream. Hence multiple backup paths are required to dodge single path newlinefailure. However, this comes at the cost of greater control overhead. Typically newlinemultipath protocols incorporate the aforesaid feature but guaranteeing QoS newlinedemands of the stream is a challenging task. Therefore, an effective Routing newlineProtocol (RP) is needed to maintain QoS parameters. In this study, cutting-edge newlineRP is presented in four stages to improve QoS in MANETs. newlineIn the first stage of the study, a gateway selection method called the newlineGateway Discovery Algorithm (GDA), which chooses a suitable gateway node newlineby taking into account several QoS route metrics like path availability time, newlineavailable capacity, and delay is presented. The multipath routing approach is newlineused with the proposed GDA. According to computer simulations, this gateway newlineselection strategy increases throughput and packet delivery ratio while using less newlineenergy per node. It also decreases End-to-End (E-E) latency when compared to newlineexisting single QoS route gateway selection strategies. newline
