Abstract
Since the last recent decade, the use of cellular phones has increased significantly with speech communication services which are often contaminated by other types of audio interferences. This noise mainly produces a variety of harsh sounds, as well as poor signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). Due to the unwanted effects on signal quality, noise factor becomes one of the main issues affecting GSM-based communication systems performance. The noise misrepresents the received signal in a random manner which results in the occurrence of poor speech quality. There are multiple sources behind the generation of noisy signals; some of them are thermal noise changes with time at the receiver system, channel interference caused by the electromagnetic signal, and signal interference from nearby environments.Improvement of the speech signal in a noisy background such as, in traffic, public places and in a train, enriches the quality and clarity of the voice signal at both speaker and reception side. Therefore, noise reduction offers benefits in a wide range of application usage, for example, communication via cellular telephones, over hands-free mode, video conferences, and automated secure voice communication services. Based on our findings, a few research studies have found that only focuses on noise identification and noise cancellation form the GSM signals. The existing usage of Weiner filters andother filters for noise mitigation form GSM signal are not found to meet the complete requirement.
newlineTherefore, the proposed research work suggests an integrated framework that performs noise recognition modeling and can significantly help to eliminatenoisy signal from GSM communication signals. The proposed integrated framework includes three different models viz i). Stochastic based approach for noise identification modeling, ii). Analytical based approach and iii). Wavelet-based method toperform effective decomposition of GSM signals to aid better noise cancellation mechanism. The objective of the proposed system is obtained by the imple
