Evaluation of ecce based interventions on holistic development of early grade learners in Odisha

Abstract

This thesis, titled Evaluation of ECCE based Interventions on the Holistic Development of Early Grade learners in Odisha , investigates the impact of these interventions on the holistic development of early grade learners in the region. The study comprises a comprehensive exploration, employing a mixed-methods approach to assess government implementation processes, intervention effects, differences in holistic development, and strategies for improved implementation. Data was collected from both tribal (Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj) and non-tribal (Jagatsinghpur and Bhadrak) districts. Additionally, 40 Anganwadi centers, 80 schools, 40 Anganwadi teachers, 80 teachers, 200 Anganwadi students, 400 class-1 and 2 students, 200 parents, and 200 community members were involved in this research, adding depth and richness to the findings. Government initiatives, including surveys, capacity building programs, and training modules, were analyzed, revealing their significant role in promoting early childhood education. newline
