In general, several brands of drugs, mainly imported are available in market as Antiobesity drug . There is no standardization when it comes to supplements. Also availability of the antidiabetic extract in market is very scanty. In other words, manufacturers don t have to follow a specific formula, so one antiobesity extract product could be made completely differently than nother. Meglitinides (prandin) are insulin retaining drugs by stimulating the pancreas to secrete more insulin. Moreover, it is widely used antidiabetic drug in treating Type 2 diabetes. The potential target for meglitinides is the CCAAT enhancer binding protein(CEBPand#945;) and peroxisome proliferator activated protein (PPARand#947;). These two genes are the overall promoter in controlling the hemostasis of glucose. Currently the newer research suggests prandin enumerate enormous side effects. Thus replacement of these CEBPand#945; and PPARand#947; agonists is taken over by natural sources. Recently, there is a strong scientific opinion that more than 90 percent of diseases are caused by oxidative stress due to active oxygen, other free radicals and lipid peroxides. Though active oxygen is essential to our body, ill effects occur when excess active oxygen is dispersed to various organs, body tissues and blood corpuscles. Oxidative stress (OS) is induced mainly by overproduction of these reactive oxygen species (ROS) which oxidizes lipids, proteins and DNA thereby leads to cell membrane destruction causing heart disease, diabetics and early ageing. newline
