| dc.description.abstract | Today s power infrastructure involves unpredictability in both demand newlineand supply. Power management by means of energy storage is becoming a newlinepromising method to have sustainable energy utilization. In recent times, energy newlinestorage using Latent Heat Thermal Energy Storage (LHTES) technology has been newlinereceiving greater attention to reduce the grid energy demands. LHTES technology newlinehas been utilized by using Phase Change Material (PCM), since last two decades. newlineThe present research focuses on developing a novel Phase Change Material newline(PCM) for low temperature applications. It should be noted that dispersion of newlinecarbon-based nanoparticle in the base PCM has some noteworthy effects on newlinethermal property of PCM than metal or metal oxide nanoparticles. The dispersion newlineof nanoparticle in phase change material improves the thermal performance of newlinebase PCM by enhancing thermal conductivity. However, few drawbacks such as newlinestability of nanoparticle and leakage of PCM which occur even after enhancing newlinethermal conductivity, hinder their practical low temperature applications at newlinethe industrial scale. The previous research study has demonstrated that form-stable newlinePCM is an effective way to prevent the leakage of liquid PCM during Phase newlinechange. Thus, this research focuses on the development of novel Nanoparticle newlineDispersed form stable PCM (NDfsPCM). newline | |
