Study of Prognosis of Cancer Patients with Special References to Taila Bindu Pariksha

Abstract

In this study, it was planned to assess the prognosis of the diseases by the methods described in Ayurveda. As it was not possible to evaluate patients of all diseases, one of the diseases i.e. Cancer which has high mortality rate had been chosen. Cancer is a leading cause of death worldwide and accounted for 7.6 million deaths (around 13% of all deaths) in 2008. newline In the present study, patients of cancer were taken from OPD and IPD of Department of Radiotherapy and Radiation Medicine of Sir Sunderlal Hospital, IMS, BHU. newline 50 patients of cancer were taken and detailed clinical history and examinations were done as per designed proforma. Simultaneously, 50 Healthy volunteers were also included in same duration as controlled subjects. newline newline
