Formulation and Development of Nanocarrier Modules for Topical Delivery of Anti Fungal Drug

Abstract

Fungal infections are a significant global health concern, affecting millions of newlineindividuals annually. These infections vary from mild skin conditions to lifethreatening systemic diseases, particularly in immunocompromised individuals. Candida species, including Candida albicans, are among the leading fungal pathogens responsible for severe infections. The growing resistance to existing antifungal treatments has further complicated disease management, highlighting the need for novel drug formulations with improved efficacy and patient compliance. Among the available antifungal agents, luliconazole has gained attention due to its broadspectrum activity against dermatophytes and other fungal pathogens. This study focuses on the development and evaluation of advanced drug delivery systems to enhance the therapeutic potential of luliconazole, ensuring sustained drug release and better skin penetration. newline newline
