A study on thermophysical properties of liquid mixtures

Abstract

Liquid mixtures have significant attention due to their atypical newlinebehavior. In chemical process industries, materials are usually handled in newlinefluid form and as a corollary, the physical, chemical, and transport properties newlineof fluids presume importance. Fluid mixtures in process industries are newlinefrequently separated into their components by mass transfer processes such as newlinedistillation and extraction. Design of such processes needed the quantitative newlinedetermination of the properties of fluid mixtures. The properties of liquid newlinemixtures like density, viscosity and ultrasonic velocity are called as thermo newlinephysical properties which have wide useful applications in the process design. newlineAny problem associated with heat, momentum and mass transfer necessitate newlineknowledge of thermo physical properties and their difference with newlinetemperature. The statistics on various physical properties associated with the newlineliquids and liquid mixtures find applications in theory of solution and newlinemolecular dynamics. These outcomes are essential for interpretation of newlinestatistics obtained from electrochemical, thermo chemical, biochemical and newlinekinetic studies. These are considered necessary in various engineering newlineproblems like simulations, pipe design and process calculations. Thus the newlineabove mentioned properties are frequently used for determination of newlineadditional parameters characterizing binary and ternar newline newline
