Experimental Investigation on Viability of Camphor Oil in A Ci Engine with Diesel Cottonseed Oil and Hydrogen

Abstract

The current energy scenario, and economic and environmental safety forces newlinethe researchers to seek the better alternate fuel that comprises all the above-mentioned newlineaspects. Camphor oil is one of the biofuels which is readily used in compression ignition newline(CI) engines. Therefore, this research aims to study the viability of Camphor oil in CI newlineengines using diesel, cottonseed oil, and hydrogen. This research work has three newlineobjectives. Namely i) To study the impact of Camphor oil blending on CI characteristics newlineaided with cottonseed oil and diesel. ii) To study the impact of Camphor oil premixing newlineon CI engine characteristics powered with Cottonseed oil and diesel. iii) To study the newlineimpact of hydrogen induction on CI engine characteristics powered with Camphorblended newlinecottonseed oil and Camphor oil-blended diesel. All three phases of experiments newlineare conducted in the same engine test rig, the premixing setup and hydrogen induction newlinesetup are attached at the appropriate time of conduction of experiments newline
