dc.description.abstractThe study had designated subjects for Junior India Volleyball players of 16-20 years, all in the age category of 16-20. Assumed to have excellent service and spike skills, they are believed to exhibit above-average skills in Volleyball. All the subjects were informed of the goal of the study, and each of them motivated themselves to do their best in each session. All participants agreed to participate in the testing procedures before proceeding. newlineThe volleyball technique of service was assessed through the North Carolina state university volleyball skills test battery (1991). This is a standard test that has a reliability coefficient of 0.65 which is higher than another test. The volleyball technique of spike was being measured based on subjective judgments. Evaluation of volleyball spike and service collected based on the objective evaluation. The best of 10 trials on the selected test was considered as the final point. Videography was be employed for the biomechanical analysis of serve and spike in volleyball. A frequency of 240 fps was set for the Go Pro Hero 5, which was situated in the sagittal plane. Moment of selected different phases of volleyball spike (i.e. moment at take-off phase, moment at flight in the air, moment at execution phase, and moment at landing phase) and service (i.e. moment at execution phase) was being selected for the analysis. Researchers using sequence images generated stick figures that were used to calculate specified biomechanical factors. Kinovea version 0.8.27 software helped form the stick figures. The subjects performed the technique ten times and the best trial was being used for the analysis. Based on sequence photographs the scholar developed stick figures from which selected biomechanical variables were calculated. Measuring angle in nearest degree at selected joints at the different phases of volleyball service and spike. The center of gravity of each subject in the execution of spike and service were being located by Kinovea software.
