Y-shaped buildings, characterized by three distinct wings interconnected to a central core, represent a prevalent architectural typology selected for a range of applications, including residential, corporate, and hotel structures. This preference stems from their capacity to offer favourable external vistas, promote efficient natural ventilation, and expedite construction processes. Notable examples of such edifices include the Burj Khalifa and the forthcoming Jeddah Tower, both of which employ modified Y-shaped layouts. The present research endeavours to provide a comprehensive investigation of pressure coefficients, force coefficients, moment coefficients, and torsional coefficients pertinent to various Y-shaped high-rise buildings that exhibit diverse plan configurations and outer shapes. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analyses are conducted employing the ANSYS CFX software, simulating terrain category II conditions as stipulated by the IS:875 (Part 3) 2015 standards. newlineTo establish the credibility of the CFD methodology, a graphical comparative assessment is carried out, juxtaposing the outcomes with those of the Commonwealth Advisory Aeronautical Research Council (CAARC) building model and wind tunnel experiments. Graphical representations elucidating flow patterns, wind-induced forces, and pressure distributions over distinct surfaces of Y-shaped structures are presented, thus affording insights into the extent to which alterations in shape manifest. newlinePlan variations encompass modifications pertaining to the length-to-width ratio and the internal angles of the limbs. Observations reveal a noteworthy augmentation in aerodynamic coefficients associated with higher length-to-width ratios, underscoring the critical nature of a judicious selection that balances ventilation and structural integrity considerations. Triaxially symmetrical models exhibit superior aerodynamic efficiency in contrast to their counterparts with altered limb angles, the latter experiencing substantial increases in force coefficients f
