The industrial and manufacturing sector plays a pivotal role in the economic development of Gujarat, particularly through producer and manufacturing companies that contribute significantly to employment generation, industrial growth, and regional development. However, the rapid expansion of this sector has also exposed several structural, regulatory, and legal challenges arising from outdated, fragmented, and inadequately enforced legal frameworks. The present Ph.D. thesis titled Critical Analysis of Legal Framework Applied to Producer and Manufacturing Companies in Gujarat: Need to Revisit Existing Laws undertakes a comprehensive and critical examination of the existing statutory, regulatory, and policy mechanisms governing producer and manufacturing companies in the State of Gujarat. newlineThis research critically analyzes the applicability and effectiveness of central legislations such as the Companies Act, 2013, labour and industrial laws, environmental regulations, taxation frameworks, and state-specific industrial policies as they operate in the context of Gujarat s manufacturing ecosystem. The study evaluates whether the current legal regime adequately addresses contemporary challenges such as regulatory compliance burdens, ease of doing business, protection of stakeholders rights, sustainability, technological advancement, and global competitiveness. Particular emphasis is placed on producer companies, which occupy a unique position at the intersection of corporate law, cooperative principles, and socio-economic development.Adopting a doctrinal and analytical research methodology, the thesis examines legislative provisions, judicial pronouncements, policy documents, and expert opinions to identify legal gaps, inconsistencies, and implementation deficiencies. The research also incorporates a critical assessment of judicial trends and administrative practices affecting manufacturing and producer companies in Gujarat. The findings reveal that while existing laws provide a foundational framework, they often fail
